sightseeing seattle + life update…

okay, it’s officially been FOREVER since I’ve done a little update on our blog. And we’ve done so much!

Now where to start…

In the middle of August we took our maternity pictures – it is such a fun time of life that I wanted to remember, so I talked Chris into getting our maternity pictures. I am so glad we did because they are now hanging in our nursery and will always remind us of the last few months of just the two of us.

At the beginning of September Chris and I took our baby moon trip to Seattle. Originally we were planning on going to Hawaii, we booked our flights, hotel, planned out activities, etc. but then, just two weeks before we were planning on going I got nervous about the flight and we rerouted ourselves to Seattle. At least we have a trip planned for next year that is already paid off 🙂 then we can take our little baby girl with us to the beach!

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Seattle!

Pike’s Market always has the prettiest flowers – and for so cheap! I wish I lived closer so that I could pick these up on the weekly!

After spending a couple days downtown Seattle we took a road trip out to Whidbey Island where we enjoyed relaxing a few days by the water.

Chris loved being able to fish! And I loved sitting on the rocks and watching him!

We finished off our trip with a visit to see Mechale, Josh and Nora (Chris’s sister’s family) that live up in Seattle. We had a fun couple days going to a Mariners game, fishing and going to the Washington State Fair – which by the way has the best rodeo!

After returning home from Seattle it was onto our anniversary weekend. Chris and I LOVE to eat out and try new places. For our anniversary dinner we went to an Italian restaurant in Salt Lake City called Valter’s! Then that following Sunday we enjoyed brunch at the Grand America – have you ever been to brunch there? IT’S AMAZING! I definitely ate my moneys worth of king crab. YUMMM! We are going to make that brunch a new tradition in our family to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries!

Here’s a picture of our dinner at Valter’s!

This last month we have been getting the final touches done on baby’s nursery and really preparing for her arrival. We are just a couple weeks away, and boy are we excited! (And I am excited to not be pregnant anymore! I am to the very uncomfortable stage.)

My last day working at the office is this week, and we feel like we are really ready for her to make her arrival! We already love her so much, we cannot wait to hold her in our arms.

xx,
